Knoll® Chadwick Chair

Drawing upon 30 years experience in designing award-winning furniture, Don Chadwick has created a chair that is refreshingly simple. Focuses on the features and functionality of a chair for dual use, consolidating the nature of work chairs and conference/training chairs.

Innovative Materials – Principle components are light injection-molded forms that make up the frame, arm and base. Components' strength is optimized by the hollow airshaft that is blown into the parts using a “gas-assist technology” during the injection molding process.

Knoll® Chadwick Chair

All-inclusive, built-in comfort means that the Chadwick user is unconsciously aware of the support features designed into the chair, yet receives all the benefits. The Chadwick chair is part of the Knoll tradition of attention to materials and details with an emphasis on the overall quality of form and function.

Knoll History

Knoll

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe once said, "Create form out of the nature of our tasks with the methods of our time."

Since their founding in 1938, Knoll has had a commitment to accessible, thoughtful design coupled with leading edge technology. This has resulted in a portfolio of ergonomic products, including office seating, monitors and keyboard supports, lighting and adjustable work tables. These ergonomic products form the building blocks to facilitate productivity and comfort with equal effect.

Recognized as a design leader worldwide, Knoll has design integrity as their guiding principle. They offer insight into the way business is changing and into what’s possible—now and for the future and believe good design is good business. Their commitment to modern design has yielded furniture products and textiles designed to provide enduring value and help clients shape their workspaces with imagination and vision. Ergonomic design pioneers Don Chadwick (of Herman Miller Aeron fame) and Carl Magnusson, plus contemporary innovators, Formway Design, create the advanced seating, including Life, Chadwick, RPM, and Generation for Knoll.

At Knoll, they watch how the modern office and home office is evolving and make furniture that responds and adapts to changing needs. They're thinking about the emergence of a new workplace climate, the meaning of new workplace planning models and how ecological principles inform their product designs.
