The Herman Miller Embody Chair design team began by going back to the drawing board to get a thorough understanding of how people were working in office chairs at their desks. Their goal was that the new Embody Chair would positively affect the health of the seated computer user through its design as a computer chair. They consulted with various experts in the medical field and in ergonomics until they could generate a formula that would allow them to achieve health-positive effects through the design of the Embody desk chair.
