Standard Carpet
Commercial / industrial carpet is the typical carpet found in business offices or any place where a lot of foot traffic is expected. Standard commercial carpet is low pile; tightly woven.
All Aeron chairs, unless specified, come with these standard casters.

Hard Floors
In this case, can be defined as any smooth floor surface. The casters designed for this type of flooring are encased in a soft rubber surface to provide traction and to prevent damage to the floor's surface.

Deep Carpet
This is usually the carpet found in homes. This type of carpet is medium to high pile. The casters designed for deep carpet are slightly larger than standard carpet casters, which facilitates effortless motion through thick carpet.

Standard Carpet with Aluminum Accents

Glides
2 1/2" glides work best on carpet. The glides afford the Aeron a firm base, yet allow the chair to slide around the room.
