In designing Liberty, renowned designer Niels Diffrient rethought the application of mesh. Instead of using a single, flat panel of stretch mesh, he created Liberty with three panels of extremely low-stretch mesh, bonded together in a specific pattern to create a contoured shape optimized for the human back. The result is a chair which provides exceptional lumbar support without an external lumbar device. Thus, there's no need for users to manually adjust their chair's lumbar position or curve - Liberty does it automatically.
